Free Identity Theft Resolution Services
As a Bank Iowa customer, you and your family members have free, unlimited one-on-one access to a highly experienced fraud specialist at Identity Theft 911®, the nation’s leader in identity management and fraud education. These services are designed to minimize the damage, stress and lost time experienced when your identity is stolen, helping restore your good name and getting your life back on track.

Preventative help for identities at risk
In the event that your personal information has been compromised, such as a lost or stolen wallet or a burglarized home or mailbox, a fraud specialist will assist you in placing a free fraud alert on your credit file to reduce the risk of fraudulent accounts opened in your name. Depending on the risk, additional preventative measures may also be available.

Comprehensive resolution assistance for stolen identities
If you are a victim of identity theft, your personal fraud specialist will guide you through the entire resolution process so you don’t have to struggle on your own. With years of experience dealing with law enforcement, government agencies, creditors and credit bureaus, your specialist determines your best course of action, cuts through the red tape and handles all the hard work for you.

This assistance includes preparing all resolution documents, filing a police report and creating a fraud victim affidavit and your identity theft passport, as needed. The specialist will also create a comprehensive case file to aid law enforcement and claims’ handling. As a victim of identity theft, you will also receive one year of active follow-up after resolution, including a full year of credit and fraud monitoring at no cost.

What to do if your identity has been compromised or stolen
If you suspect your identity has been compromised or if you need assistance handling an identity-theft-related concern, contact your local Bank Iowa immediately to be put in touch with a fraud specialist from the Identity Theft 911® Resolution Center.

Stop Identity Theft before It Starts with Credit and Fraud Monitoring Services
Quick discovery and rapid response are critical to minimize the risk of identity theft. In addition to our free identity theft resolution services, you have the option to purchase credit and/or fraud monitoring services to detect problems as soon as they arise.

Credit Monitoring ($4/month)
Our credit monitoring service helps you interpret credit reports for signs of fraud and tracks changes to your credit file. Your Equifax® credit file is checked for activity every business day, and you will be notified when new accounts are opened, inquiries are made or changes to personal information occur so you can act immediately to fraudulent activity.

By enrolling in our credit monitoring services, you will also receive a one-time, 3-in-1 credit report from the three major credit bureaus (Equifax, Experian and TransUnion). This combined report will enable you to review the various accounts and addresses listed in your name, as well as any inquiries made to your credit file.  The report will help you detect fraud as well as establish a baseline from which you can compare future credit activity.

Fraud Monitoring ($4/month)
There’s more to your identity than your credit report. Ongoing fraud monitoring of over 1,000 public records databases helps track changes in your personal identifiers (such as your Social Security Number and address) to detect early warning signs of fraud.

You will be notified of new additions to public records made in your name and alerted to inquiries, discrepancies, unauthorized accounts and delinquencies which may indicate fraudulent activity. Staying apprised of changes to your public records will help you resolve problems as they arise.

How to Enroll in Credit and Fraud Monitoring Services
To enroll in our optional credit and/or fraud monitoring services for only $4 per month per service*, complete our enrollment form or contact your local Bank Iowa. Once you have enrolled, you will receive your user ID and password via email along with step-by-step instructions for activating the proactive service(s).

*A valid email address is required to enroll in optional credit or fraud monitoring services, and you must enroll for a minimum of one year. Additional family members can enroll for these services for a discounted rate of $3 per month, per service, per person.
